Thanks to our ancestors for their stupidity, we have now over 7000 languages in the world today. Perhaps this is a good thing for those who find learning languages fun!

The world is becoming a global village and this is a well-known phenomenon. The need to learn other languages is now greater than at any time in history. Being bilingual is just not enough. People nowadays strike to speak more than 2 languages in order to stay competitive in this society. In fact, it is not uncommon for me to find people around me who can speak 3 or 4 languages fluently.
