A few years ago, I got sent off to Germany by my company to support our customer. I was stuck there for a month! The good side was that I had the chance to learn a little about the language, as well as some simple phrases.

The first impression with German for many people is, “Man! How do I pronounce those words?” In fact, it turns out that if you know the rules, it is very straight forward to pronounce the words.

I rarely meet German-speaking people here in Toronto. But I would think it is useful to learn how to pronounce those German names which have 3 or 4 consonants packed together.
